Call For Papers
Workshop: “The Nouvelle Vague: A New Generation Of Legal Scholarship Questioning Mainstream Assumptions”, 7 June 2013
In the context of the “Young Scholars Lab”, we are looking at bringing together representatives of a new generation of legal scholarship; young researchers from any field of legal studies, open to question the mainstream assumptions of their field of study.
In fact, legal research and legal writing are often based on ideological or methodological preconceptions which determine our understanding and our approach to law. These preconceptions are shaped by mainstream legal thinking. But the creation of a genuine and open new legal scholarship will also be the result of the rupture of certain traditional narratives.
We therefore seek papers willing to question such narratives and assumptions, and speakers ready to engage with a broader academic community beyond national or sectoral boundaries.
For those selected to present the papers it is mandatory to participate in the entire programme of the “Young Scholars Lab” Summer School (4 -7 June 2013).
Selection results will be notified by 2 May 2013.
