Abstract:
This policy-oriented paper rests on an analysis of extant international instruments for the protection of journalists in conflict and non-conflict situations, within and outside the jurisdiction of their national State. The authors identify critical normative lacunae and implementation drawbacks, and discuss the merits of potential remedies.
